Welcome to the Ballan & District Commmunity House

The Ballan & District Community House is a hive of activity with a variety of courses, groups and sessions providing the community with a friendly and happy atmosphere in which to develop skills, broaden interests and extend social contacts.

Our staff members and committee of management work together to ensure the Community House operates efficiently and in the best interests of Ballan and District.

A dedicated volunteer group provides invaluable support in the day to day administration and running of the Centre.

The Community House can be accessed through the main entrance located at 76 Steiglitz Street, Ballan.  It is at the rear of the Ballan Mechanics' Institute Hall (143 Inglis St).

The Ballan & District Community House extends to you the invitation to drop in for a chat, a cuppa and the chance to discover a whole new world of opportunities and interests, as well as the guarantee of forming new friendships.

Tutors & Ideas

If you have a skill that you would like to share with others we would like to hear from you.

At the Ballan & District Community House we are always looking to expand our programs. Next term, for example, we might run a build your own web site class. Many of our classes are run by skilled volunteers who want to share a talent, hobby or experience. Please phone 5368 1934 today if you would like to help run a group or class.

We also offer pre-accredited classes run by paid tutors. If you have professional skills and have an idea for a future class, we'd like to hear from you.
