At the Ballan & District Community House we are always looking to expand our programmes. Many of our classes are run by skilled volunteers who want to share a talent, hobby or experience.
Call us today if you would like to run a group or class.
We also offer pre-accredited classes run by paid tutors so if you have professional skills and have an idea for a future class we'd like to hear from you as well.

Initially occupying a small residence in Steiglitz Street Ballan from 1991, the Ballan and District Community House is now a thriving and growing facility responding to community needs by providing a holistic approach to lifelong learning. As part of the newly renovated and transformed Ballan Mechanics Institute site, the BDCHAE offers a diverse program located in modern facilities.
The Centre is a hive of activity with a variety of courses, groups and sessions providing the community with a friendly and happy atmosphere in which to develop skills, broaden interests and extend social contacts.
An enthusiastic and extremely capable co-ordinator leads a team and committee of management who work together to ensure the Centre operates efficiently and in the best interests of Ballan and District.
A dedicated volunteer group provides invaluable support in the day to day administration and running of the Centre.
The Community House can be accessed through the main entrance located in Steiglitz Street.
The BDCHAE extends to you the invitation to "drop in" for a chat, a cuppa and the chance to discover a "whole new world" of opportunities and interests, as well as the guarantee of forming new friendships.
