Anyone can enrol to participate in the classes and activities at the Ballan & District Community House.  Our participants enjoy the wide ranging program we offer.  We offer classes and group activities at very low charges so that we can cover costs.

Membership: To join our classes, you do not have to be a member of the Community House.  However, if you would also like to support the Community House by paying a small annual membership fee (currently $5.50), we would welcome your application to become a member of the Community House. 

By becoming a member of the House, you can:

  • halve the cost of computer access at the Community House;
  • borrow books and jigsaws from our library at no charge;
  • contribute to the running of the Community House; and
  • vote at the Annual General Meeting (held in May).
Membership is renewable annually and covers the period January to December.

To become a member, please print and complete the application form (download a copy of the application form) and send with a cheque for $5.50 to Ballan & District Community House,  PO Box 71, Ballan, 3342.  If you would like to pay by direct deposit instead of cheque, please make your payment of $5.50 to BSB 063-824 Account: 1001 6036 and note your full surname and the initial of your first name and the word MEM in the description box.

The Committee of Management: The Ballan & District Community House is an incorporated association, with an active member base and an elected Committee of Management.  Each year at the Annual General Meeting, members elect a new committee to run the Community House. Committee members are drawn from the member base.
